WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR

FIRST VISIT

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. After you are checked in, one of our physicians will obtain your medical history, evaluate your overall health and examine the status of any wounds you may have. Please bring a list of your allergies, medications, and your insurance card to your visit.

If you have mobility issues, our staff is here to assist you into one of our comfortable treatment HBOT chambers.

Accepted Insurances

We’ve got you covered and we keep it simple. In order to offer a seamless experience and make our services more accessible to more people, we do not charge expensive ‘facility fees.’ We accept most major insurance plans as well as Medicare and bill for services through your insurance. We believe in transparency, which is why we’ll go over your coverage with you prior to treatment. If, by chance, your services are not covered, we offer an affordable cash-pay option.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make an appointment?

Call us at 410-433-4300 and select one of our seven locations that’s closest and most convenient for treatment.  We have locations in Pikesville, Westminster, Abingdon, Cockeysville, Towson, Glen Burnie and Rosedale.

Fax #: 443-330-5676

What’s required prior to first ‘dive’ (HBOT treatment)?

A consult, chest X-ray and EKG within the past 30 days

Can you miss treatments?

We do not recommend missing any treatments.  However, there may be times when you may not able to ‘dive’ because of health complications, conflicts in scheduling, etc.  We require a 24 hour cancellation notice if the patient is unable to make the appointment.

How many treatments/sessions will I need?

A treatment plan is based on your diagnosis or condition.  The majority of conditions require 10-40 treatments or more depending on the severity of the individual’s case.  HBO treatments may last up to two hours per session 5 days a week.

What is the difference between blow up (mild) chamber and a hard chamber (what we use-medical grade)?

Simply put, there is no reliable clinical evidence to support the use of mild hyperbaric therapy (blow up chambers) and we do not recommend the use of these chambers.  However, the use of chambers like ours are used in clinical trials, are of medical grade and go beyond a depth of 1.4 ATA.

What does our AAAHC accreditation really mean?

This is an important milestone in the continuing growth and success of our health care organization. Our accreditation shows our commitment to providing the highest levels of quality care to our patients, and the same high level of quality in our business practices. Achieving accreditation by AAAHC is proof that we have met the rigorous standards of a nationally-recognized third party.
